The Trauma discotheque, located near the Passeig de Gràcia at c/ Consell de Cent, 288, has everything a classic disco from the seventies can provide. The interior, with all its chrome and mirrors, its three bars and dance floor with floor illumination flashing from red to yellow, has made it to the present unscathed. Over three decades of disco fever seem to have left more scars on most of the people who still frequent the place than on the establishment itself. The bouncers are arrogant, and a lot of fuss gets made about wearing exactly the right clothes - sneakers, shorts, white socks and leather jackets are all strictly taboo, by the way. For 10 years now, DJ Willi has been wowing the crowds with classic disco from all manner of countries, and past midnight, once they get tanked up, the dancers here become increasingly Travolta-like. Every Friday from 11.45pm there's a striptease qualifier, with two female and two male performers.
